Transforming a former apartment with limited ceiling height, MRDK created the Low Rise bar on the upper floor. Here, cove lighting accentuates the texture of the dark popcorn ceiling. This 40-seat dining area draws inspiration from a nostalgic Italian design, reimagined with a contemporary flair. Walnut tables are custom-fitted into window recesses and cantilever from the walls, complementing the dark green leather banquettes featuring folded steel feet. The impressive bar is faced with a tumbled marble mosaic, topped with a zinc counter that is designed to develop a rich patina over time. An In Common With fluted pendant light fixture casts a warm, inviting glow throughout the space.
