Joe Jonas's Real Estate Journey: From Texas Ranch to Brooklyn Loft

Journey Through Jonas's Residences: A Decade of Distinctive Homes
The Inaugural Shared Estate: A Texas Ranch
In 2008, at just 19 years old, Joe Jonas embarked on his first real estate venture, acquiring a substantial ranch in Westlake, Texas, alongside his brothers Nick and Kevin. This expansive 7,360-square-foot property, nestled within the exclusive Vaquero Club community, was a significant purchase for the newly formed Jonas Brothers band. The ranch boasted traditional Southwestern architecture, featuring a grand great room with wood beams, a dedicated music studio, a home cinema, a recreational room, and a sophisticated wet bar. The outdoor amenities were equally impressive, including a saltwater pool, an outdoor fireplace, a charming gazebo, and a fully equipped kitchen. The brothers eventually sold this property in 2015.
Establishing Independence: First Solo Abode in Los Angeles
May 2014 marked a new chapter for Joe Jonas as he purchased his first independent residence: a 2,888-square-foot traditional-style mansion in West Hollywood for $2.6 million. Originally constructed in 1923, the home masterfully blended historical allure with contemporary upgrades. Modern enhancements included state-of-the-art stainless steel kitchen appliances, elegant white subway tile backsplashes, and luxurious marble-topped vanities in the bathrooms. Despite its charm, Jonas decided to sell the property less than a year later, fetching $2.9 million.
A Period of Transience: Hollywood Hills Rental
Following the sale of his West Hollywood home in 2015, the artist opted for a rental lifestyle, settling into a striking modern mansion in the Hollywood Hills. This impressive residence, designed by Jeffrey Allsbrook, commanded a monthly rent of $40,000 and offered breathtaking 270-degree panoramic views of the city from its elevated position above Runyon Canyon, providing a temporary yet luxurious retreat.
Embracing Modernity: Sherman Oaks Farmhouse
In February 2016, the lead singer of DNCE transitioned from renting to owning once more, investing $3.7 million in a newly constructed modern farmhouse located in Sherman Oaks. Known as the Sutton House, this 5,600-square-foot dwelling featured four bedrooms and six bathrooms. Just over two years later, in August 2018, Jonas listed the farmhouse for sale. It was eventually sold for $3.7 million in early 2019, concluding another phase of his residential history.
Urban Sophistication: New York City Condominium
The year 2018 saw Jonas and his then-fiancée, actress Sophie Turner, acquire a chic condominium in New York City for $5.6 million. This spacious 2,907-square-foot apartment, featuring three bedrooms and three bathrooms, showcased custom-stained white oak floors, European oak doors, and an expansive 1,450-square-foot private terrace. After their marriage and the birth of their daughter, the couple decided to relocate to the West Coast. The condo was initially listed for $6.5 million in July 2020, then reduced to $5.9 million, but struggled to find a buyer. Jonas eventually sold the property in 2024 for $5.36 million, approximately a year after initiating divorce proceedings from Turner.
Suburban Grandeur: Encino Mansion
As newlyweds in 2019, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner purchased a grand, newly built mansion in Encino for $14.1 million. This sprawling 15,000-square-foot property, envisioned by designer Jae Omar, included ten bedrooms and fourteen bathrooms distributed between the main house and a separate guesthouse. The extensive use of wood and stone materials imbued the space with a warm, natural ambiance. The couple listed the estate for $16.75 million in June 2021, selling it in September of the same year for $15.2 million. The property was subsequently acquired by DJ Zedd, who later sold it to singer Meghan Trainor for $17.1 million three years later.
Waterfront Paradise: Miami Mansion
Jonas and Turner then ventured into the Miami real estate market, securing a contemporary waterfront mansion for $11 million in 2021. This six-bedroom, nine-bathroom residence drew inspiration from Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural principles, harmoniously blending modern floor-to-ceiling glass elements with rich dark wood and stone accents. The home was adorned with playful mid-century design touches, such as a vibrant indoor garden and a serene koi pond. Other notable features included a salon with a soaring 30-foot ceiling, a luxurious primary suite with dual bathrooms, and an indoor-outdoor bar adjacent to the backyard swimming pool. Despite its allure, the couple listed the property for $17 million just a year later, eventually selling it for $15 million after seven months on the market.
Current Abode: Brooklyn Apartment
In 2024, shortly after divesting his previous New York City residence, Joe Jonas expanded his real estate portfolio with a $6.7 million apartment in Brooklyn. Situated in the Dumbo neighborhood, this 2,700-square-foot unit occupies the 26th floor of a high-end condominium building. The residence features three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and an open-plan living area that offers stunning views of the iconic Manhattan Bridge, marking his latest residential acquisition.
