Much like Gabriel García Márquez's depiction of Macondo, where strange occurrences unfolded—such as rabbits suddenly populating public spaces overnight or streets quickly becoming carpeted in green foliage—the pandemic brought forth similarly unexpected phenomena. Animals ventured into deserted urban areas during widespread lockdowns, and city thoroughfares, once bustling, were reborn as lively communal hubs rich with nature and social activity in a remarkably short span.

The Embellished, the Transient, and the Critical Installation: A Deep Dive into Urban Adaptation

In the vibrant city of Chicago, Alsar Atelier, an architecture firm specializing in temporary installations, unveiled their thought-provoking project, "The Embellished, the Transient, and the Critical Installation," curated by Valentina Díaz.
